Designed by Steinway and Sons. Bigger soundboard area creates a bigger sound. Lower tension scaling produces a longer sustain. Soundboard made from Sitka spruce for superior tone and volume. Pinblock made from Wisconsin hard maple. Bass strings wound with solid copper and overstrung. Treble strings made from Roslau wire from Swedish steel. Features a "soft fall" keyboard lid. |
