A unique, Bluthner grand piano with a Jacaranda case with intricate marquetry inlay. all over case in a variety of designs and woods. Case shows tessellated marquetry panels in walnut, ebony, mahogany, fiddleback mahogany and boxwood. Lyre stands on two square pillars and attatched to leg stretcher. Cabinet features unusual piano cheeks with carved egg and dart detail. Filigree music desk. Oval piano legs feature ornate filigree bronze panels. Instrument has been completely restored. This Bluthner model was on display at the Brussel’s 1910 World Fair and features in the Exhibition catalogue.
